Hope | Grace | God & Prodigals
Conference Website: christholdfast.org/conference
"The Prodigal Son" is one of Jesus' most well known parables. Perhaps this is because at different times in our lives we play out the parts of both siblings. Sometimes we're the prodigal son who abandons the safety and love of his father's house for the pigsties of our own desires. At other times we're the older brother issuing complaints to whomever will listen, maligning the Father's unconditional love and forgiveness toward rebellious sinners. Both are guilty of not trusting the Father's judgement. Both are guilty of wanting their own way. Both are prodigals.
The only hope for us in either of these conditions is the grace of the Father. A grace that runs out to meet us while we're still a long way off. A grace that throws a party for each and every rebel and Pharisee that comes home. This grace is our only hope and it is a well founded one, rooted in the cross of Christ, where righteousness was won for prodigals of every stripe.
Please consider joining Captain Rosebrough and friends Paul Tripp, Elyse Fitzpatrick, Steve Brown, Daniel Emery Price, Matt Popovits, David Zahl, Preston Sprinkle, Dr. Scott Keith, Donavon Riley, RJ Grunewald, Brandon Hanson, and other great speakers at the first CHF Conference: Hope | Grace | God & Prodigals, from February 18-20 in Orlando, Florida. We will be saying this one thing in many different ways: All our Hope is in the Grace of God toward Prodigals. And that is a safe place for it to be.
